Volunteers help make performances and special events at the Lyric Opera a success.  Please see the listings below for volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Ushering Opportunities

Volunteer ushers help to assist patrons during Lyric Opera performances.

Volunteer Shifts:
The Lyric Opera presents 4 performances of 4 operas during the season. The Lyric Opera season runs September - May. Volunteer ushers arrive 90 minutes prior to the start of the performance and stay through the final intermission.

Volunteer's Responsibilites:
Volunteer ushers are responsible for stuffing inserts into programs if needed, distributing show programs, and assisting opera patrons in locating their seats. Ushers are invited to watch the performance and are allowed to find an empty seat when the lights go down.
