Opera Goes to the Movies!

In collaboration with the UMKC Continuing Education Department, this program is a unique opportunity for music lovers and opera buffs to explore the close relationship between two art forms that meld music, visual spectacle and the dramatic arts.  The movie section is presented at the Tivoli Cinemas at Manor Square on Saturday, followed by required attendance at the Sunday matinee of the opera at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts (opera ticket included).  This may be taken for 1 hour of college credit or for no credit.

The next Opera Goes to the Movies course will be held on Saturday, October 7 and 8, 2017 and will focus on Tchaikovsky’s EUGENE ONEGIN.
